Paris in black and white

Bonjour, nos amis! We’re not actually in Paris, but we were one year ago! And since life on Quiet Farm is rather, well, quiet, right now, we thought we’d share some atmospheric photos from our travel that didn’t make it into our posts last year. Paris in winter is so perfectly suited to black-and-white photography that it seems a shame to let these gorgeous images languish on a hard drive somewhere.

Want to read more about last winter’s trip to Paris? We went sightseeing and went on a food tour, too!

  1. We enjoyed seeing Nick’s work. His perspective on the subjects makes them unique and definitely provides a feeling of old worldliness (is that a word???).

  2. Roundabouts are supposed to help traffic flow better, don’t work here either. Maybe the tow truck had something to do with it. Great pictures Nick!! Just think, next year you will have all your farm animals to tend to.

    • That photo was taken from the top of the Arc de Triomphe…watching the traffic there was utterly mesmerizing. It seemed to work most of the time, but yes, Americans do have major issues with roundabouts!
