Homemade Granola, Snack Bars & Energy Bites  / Saturday, September 5 / 10AM-12PM / Does your household eat a lot of granola and/or snack and energy bars? These processed foods cost a lot, but they’re simple and far more inexpensive to make at home. Join us for a fun “back-to-school” class on a variety of easy, healthy granola and snack bars. $30 per person; includes recipe handout, coffee/tea, light breakfast buffet and generous tasting samples! Tomatoes, Salsa & Water Bath Canning / Saturday, September 19 / 10AM-12PM / It’s been a tough ag year in our county; in addition to total fruit loss, most tomatoes were wiped out by beet curly top virus. However! We’re still going to talk tomato preservation in many forms (freezing, drying, canning) and we’re going to make salsa from storebought canned tomatoes, and then we’re going to water-bath can that salsa!
